Interpretable adaptive generative audio

Shape a journey without hiding the decisions.

Antidote is a local-first research program for expressing a desired transition, reviewing a semantic journey, generating bounded audio, and keeping intended controls, realized acoustics, exposure, and personal response separate.

Current state

The instrument is transparent; the scientific claims remain bounded.

The repository contains an executable synthetic desktop session and deterministic mock worker. A real model, formal participant study, and therapeutic-efficacy evidence are not yet available.

Research system

Keep meaning, generation, listening, and response inspectable.

Each boundary has an explicit owner and produces evidence for the next human decision.

Intent

Describe the desired journey

Capture the present moment, direction, inclusions, exclusions, duration, and uncertainty in language a person can inspect and edit.

Plan

Review before generation

Expose the semantic stages, acoustic controls, rationales, unsupported capabilities, and immutable generation specification before approval.

Artifact

Verify what was produced

Record worker identity, parameters, warnings, realized features, artifact hashes, and provenance without treating generation as a successful response.

Response

Let the person interpret the experience

Keep actual exposure, felt response, mismatch, harm, usefulness, and optional later aftereffect distinct from system intent.

Research program

One framework, several deliberately separated questions.

Technical controllability, experiential feasibility, efficacy, and mechanism require different evidence and cannot substitute for one another.

System design

Formalize a person–moment–journey model, semantic intent mixer, predictive horizon, and continuity constraints as testable design proposals.

Technical verification

Test contract fidelity, control adherence, latency, buffering, deterministic fixtures, provenance, and failure behavior.

Later feasibility research

Evaluate within-person experience only through a frozen protocol with consent, stopping rules, null outcomes, harms, and uncertainty.

Reproducible publication

Build the same governed artifacts through Make or Task.

Antidote owns its paper and publication commands. Holon supplies exact-pinned site profiles and never becomes manuscript or brand authority.

Bounded flow

Human authority stays visible at every seam.

The design separates reviewed context, journey planning, model execution, deliberate exposure, response, and research export.

1

01

Project only consented context

The worker never receives unrestricted personal history or database access.

2

02

Negotiate the journey

Explicit person direction outranks inference, and unsupported controls remain visible before approval.

3

03

Record exposure and response

Playback is deliberate, stop remains first class, and adverse or null responses are retained rather than optimized away.

Ego Hygiene ecosystem

Reuse infrastructure without moving authority.

Each repository contributes one governed concern while Antidote remains the research and publication owner.

Publication evidence

Inspect the exact revision and bytes.

The public artifact retains its paper provenance while adding immutable framework pins and a complete site checksum inventory.

Boundaries

What the current work does—and does not—establish.

Clear status language is part of the system, not a disclaimer added afterward.

Is Antidote a treatment?

No. It is a research and reflective-wellness prototype. The paper does not establish clinical efficacy, diagnosis, or a neurological mechanism.

Does the current MVP use a real generative model?

No. The executable path uses a deterministic synthetic mock worker. A real adapter requires a separate license, integrity, hardware, safety, and control-adherence review.

Does Holon own Antidote's content or identity?

No. Holon owns reusable materialization and rendering profiles. Antidote owns its reviewed content, visual inputs, research claims, paper artifacts, and publication decisions.

Has a participant study started?

No. The design/protocol manuscript can define a future method, but merging it does not authorize collection or imply ethics approval.
